Dill is a member of the Umbelliferae family. This plant is native to southern Europe and is one of the vegetables of the cold season. The height of the plant varies from 60 to 120 cm and sometimes reaches 150 cm. Dill is an aromatic herb with delicate, feathery green leaves. Dill has been around since the Middle Ages and was thought to help defend against witchcraft. Dill Honey is a sweet, viscous food substance made by bees and some related insects. Bees produce honey from the sugary secretions of Dill flowers (floral nectar) or from secretions of other insects (such as honeydew by regurgitation, enzymatic activity, and water evaporation.)
Dill honey is one of the aromatic honey that has many medicinal and therapeutic properties. Dill honey lowers blood cholesterol and triglycerides. Dill honey can be from specific types of flower nectars or can be blended after collection.
